Artworks by Dawn Kinney Martin and Emily Clanton A C4 Atlanta Member Pop-up Show as part of the First Thursdays Downtown Atlanta Art Walk Dawn Kinney Martin is an Atlanta-based artist with national and international collectors. Each year she paints plein air, which is painting on location, and takes photographs on her travels. These are used as reference materials throughout the year at her studio. Recognition for her expressive oil paintings includes acceptance at an Artists in Residence Program in Elizabeth City, NC, June 2013, November 2014 and a Merit Award from Manhattan Arts International Museum in New York for their juried exhibition, Herstory 2004. Emily Clanton is a creative-type living in the Atlanta area. Her latest work is inspired by traditional Japanese painting and her personal investigations into nourishing foods and their affects on the human body. A graduate of the BFA Painting program at the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art, Emily appreciates a well-told story, a home cooked meal and tons of color in works of art.
