Future Photomakers says
Future Photomakers is an arts program created by Tim Lampe & Keith Weaver for middle schoolers in Atlanta that enables them to express their creativity through photography.

We spent 7 weekends in the fall of 2015 here at Edgar Allan with 12 incredible students from Sutton Middle School to teach them about photography and art. Our goal was to inspire these kids to pick up a camera, make pictures, have fun, and share their world. The program was a huge success and now we're excited to celebrate that collective work and the creativity of each of these wonderful kids. The students will be displaying photographs they took during the course of Future Photomakers and for most of them this will the first time they've shown artwork in a public gallery setting.

Edgar Allan has graciously offered their space to us again to have this event. We will be selling prints from each of the students as well as limited edition posters, pennants, and badges. These funds will go directly to the Sutton art program for future projects at the school. Beer and wine will be provided for the adults and soda for the kids.

The show is free to the public but please RSVP to get entrance on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/future-photomakers-student-showcase-tickets-21602595946

Huge thanks to The Goat Farm, Edgar Allan, Sutton Middle School, VSCO Artist Initiative, and the incredible parents of each of these students for making Future Photomakers possible. We're looking forward to continuing it in 2016.
