Join Go Eat Give at Nicola's Restuarant for an evening of Lebanese food, dance, and cultural insights.
Nicola's Restaurant is in its 31st year of serving the best, most authentic Lebansese food Atlanta has to offer. At Destination Lebanon, experience Lebanese culture, interact with internationally-minded professionals, and learn traditional Lebanese dances with instruction from owner, Nicola himself!
A special buffet menu will allow attendees to taste many traditional dishes. Menu will include: Hommos, Grape leaves, Artichoke Hearts, Fattoush, Tabbouleh, Kibbee, Kafta with Lebanese rice, Chicken a la beef, Chicken kebab with artichoke hearts and Baklava.
Keynote speaker Hrair Balian will share with guests information about the culture of Lebanon as well as the impact of the Syrian war. Mr. Balian is the director of the Conflict Resolution Program for The Carter Center. He oversees the program's efforts to monitor conflicts around the world and coordinates the Center's cross-program efforts in the Middle East. Mr. Balian is also an adjunct professor at the Emory Universtiy Law School, where he teachers an advanced international regotiations seminar. He is fluent in English, French, and Armenian, with a basic knowledge of Arabic. Mr. Balian was born and raised in Lebanon and moved to the United States for his university studies.
Destination Dinner ticket includes buffet dinner, presentation, traditional dancing, tax, and tips. Free parking. Portion of proceeds benefit Go Eat Give, 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization that raises awareness of different cultures through travel, food and community service.
