Saturday, February 28 · 12:30 PM — 1:45 PM with Surya Devi Janina Edwards Do you have a great idea that will benefit the community? Serving the community, or seva, is important in a yogic life, but sometimes you need money to get things started. There may be free money to help you manifest that idea! Grant writing basics will provide you with the basic information you need to apply for your first grant as a non-profit organization. The class will dispel some myths, talk about eligibility requirements, explain common terms and the grant-making process. You will come away with a list of resources to research grants, funders who support community efforts in metropolitan Atlanta, and five top tips for writing a successful grant proposal. Janina Surya Devi is an experienced grant writer and the owner of “JustWrite! Communications & Proposals, Inc.” She has written hundreds of successful grant proposals for non-profits in Atlanta, including the Woodruff Arts Center and its arts partners, First Step, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta and Research Atlanta. Pricing: $14 $10 with registration by February 21
