Act3's Second Stage Series Presents How I Learned to Drive, Directed by Liane LeMaster.
February 20 and 21 at 8 pm, February 22 at 3 p.m.
Sponsored by The Sandy Springs Society
A portion of the proceeds will benefit EDIN (Eating Disorders Information Network) as part of their Love Your Body Month.
This explores the strained sexual relationship between a young woman and her uncle. It deals with mature themes of physical dissociation, owning one's body and memories, and the relationship between a teen's psyche and the physical changes in a young woman's body. Although the themes are serious, ultimately this is the story of forgiveness of self and family.
There will be a talk-back session with professional therapist following each performance, making it an ideal springboard for parent/teen dialog on some sensitive topics.
