Illuminate: Zomboy | Friday April 1st 2016 says
Typically a peaceful, restful place, the realm that lies six feet under has suddenly stirred. Every so often, the brainchild of Joshua Mellody we know as Zomboy must resurface from the graves, awaken from dormancy, and melt some minds before returning to the realms of the undead. This time, the Zomboy comes out to play in a flashy way. To celebrate a new body of work, Zomboy kicks off the Neon Grave North America Tour with one of its first stops landing squarely here in Atlanta.

The Neon Grave EP creeps upon us following last year’s release of Resurrected, the Zomboy remix album featuring mischievous reworks from the likes on Must Die, Bro Safari, Barely Alive, and Far Too Loud, among many others. Though Mellody has teased and tormented with only a couple tunes released since The Outbreak album, Neon Grave arrives right on time to remind us all of his undisputed dominance in bass music. “Dip It” serves us Zomboy’s experimental take on the deep, dirty bass house taking over the scene.

However, the manic and feral nature of the signature Zomboy dubstep sound remains strong as ever, shown by tracks such as “Like A Bitch” and “Get With The Program”. Be ready: this evolution of Zomboy will blend varied elements together to create devastation to your notions and show what a proper bass experience should entail.

Don’t be a fool come April 1st, when Zomboy brings the neon grave to life for Illuminate Fridays.
