January Art Magazine Reading Group says
WHEN: Monday, January 9, 6:30-8pm
WHERE: The Goat Farm / 1200 Foster St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Each month, BURNAWAY’s Art Magazine Reading Group meets to discuss an art magazine they’ve read cover to cover. It’s like book club, but with beer and criticism. It’s free and open to the public.

For January we’ll discuss the December issue of Art in America, which features ART PAPERS editor Victoria Camblin’s essay about John Portman, urbanism, and counterintuitive connections between art and gentrification in Atlanta. The issue also includes an essay on the implications of suburbia as a global phenomenon and a profile of Pasolini in America, as well as a portfolio of work by British artist Mark Leckey.

Our meeting will take place at the Goat Farm Arts Center on Monday, January 9 from 6:30 until 8 pm. If you’re interested in joining the conversation, pick up a copy and get to reading!
