Mwangi Maina- Bio ( Instructor )
Born in Kenya (Africa) dance has always been part of his life. "It's our way of celebrating everything" says Mwangi . His passion for dancing started at the very young age of 9. He has a background in traditional African dance and his love for Kizomba has seen him travel to London ,Manchester, Leeds, Oxford and even Poland to share his love for Kizomba. Kizomba being relatively new to Atlanta when he first started teaching ,his first and only student was a 55 year old lady who thought it was a Zumba class, never one to give up Mwangi's hard work and determination has now seen him grow his class and get students who come consistently . He was recently nominated for an Award at the Emerging African Leaders conference for his work in promoting African culture and Kizomba .

Mwangi not only teaches in Atlanta but is now travelling in different states in the U.S not only to teach Kizomba but to promote African culture and dance .

Mwangi always says: "yes...I teach but I'm a student myself! I'm learning and improving everyday." His approach to the dance incorporates the history, foundation, basics, musicality, the difference between the music genres of Kizomba and patterns .
