Come celebrate America's Independence Day weekend at La Porteña, with guest DJ Alex Ancheta visiting from Birmingham, Alabama, and a special exhibition by Rene Torres and Junko Mori!
Rene Torres and Junko Mori are the Sub Champions of Buenos Aires 2010 Metropolitan Tango Championship. They are known for their elegance and their inventiveness. They are recognized for their ability to honor the tradition of tango while including innovation in their dance. We have been lucky to have them visiting in Atlanta for the past few weeks sharing their knowledge, and this will be their their goodbye exhibition before they return to Buenos Aires.
Our DJ for this month's La Porteña, Alex, is originally from New York and recently relocated to Birmingham, Alabama. Ha has joined us in many weekend events and has also co-hosted a special Saturday practica.
Wear America's colors or dress up as a historical figure!
Water, some wine and delicious snacks will be provided.
