COREdance says
Lunchtime in the Studio provides a free “backstage pass”, including lunch, with the opportunity for the public to actively engage in the innovation, collaboration, investigation and community-building that forms the heart of CORE’s vision.

At the February 9th Lunchtime in the Studio, audience members will get the opportunity to become familiar with how social activism informs the work of CORE Performance Company. Along with an introduction to the artists/performers that make up CORE Performance Company, this Lunchtime will provide a glimpse into Life Interrupted, a richly-layered, full-length work of contemporary dance, art and music that draws from the experiences of the U.S. citizens of Japanese descent who were interned on American soil during World War II. While rooted in this specific story, the work ultimately creates a universal experience from historical events. The story has deep resonance for what is happening today across the globe with post-war emigration and the xenophobia that erupts in response

Admission is FREE and open to the public.
