The Low Museum says
“Masculinity” denotes a combination of different elements, both human and nonhuman which do not necessarily or naturally belong together. Unified, these elements characterize a force. We perform masculinity; our bodies register its effects. The presence of masculinity is thick, yet difficult to pinpoint. It crumbles when contested.

How do we ‘prove’, measure and interact with masculinity? How does it operate in our daily lives? And how do we subvert its effects?

Join The LOW Museum for the final event in the #MASCULINITY lineup.

First, our illustrious panel shall discuss elements of #MASCULINITY present in or absent from the exhibition.

Dr. Susan Richmond (GSU - Art History)
Dr. Scott Ritchie (KSU - Women's Studies)
Pastiche Lumumba (The LOW Museum)
Kat Nelson (Unaffiliated Scholar)

Second, discussion will be opened to the audience.

Doors open at 7
Panel begins at 7:30
Discussion begins at 9
Discussion concludes at 10
