Ever hear of the French village of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, whose citizens saved 5,000 Jews during the Holocaust? Or Marian von Binsbergen, a 19-year-old social work student in Amsterdam, who rescued 119 Jewish babies and children? Or the White Rose Group in Germany, which in 1943 — ten years after Hitler's rise to power — urged hundreds of Germans to resist the Nazis?Come tour the Holocaust Galleries at The Breman Museum to hear stories from the Holocaust, including stories of both Jews and non-Jews who fought against the Nazis to rescue many of our people. CBH members Marianna Kaufman and Lauren Rich, both Breman docents, will share these and other accounts with us.
