National Moral Day Of Action says
We are building a movement to stand up for working families, people of color, immigrants, and religious minorities nationwide. Join us for this historic National Day of Action as we step up and expand our campaign to #OrganizetheSouth.

September 12 is the Moral Monday National Day of Action at State Capitols

On this day, people of faith, clergy, and workers from across the economy will gather for a national day of action. We will demand that elected officials champion policies like living wages, stronger voting rights, and health care and education for all.

At each state capitol, representatives will deliver signatures from thousands of people who have signed a “Higher Ground Moral Declaration” that calls on elected leaders to support policies which foster economic, social and racial justice.

We’re sending a message to politicians of all parties that paying a living wage and protecting the right to vote are moral issues, and that they will be judged by their efforts to improve the lives of people on the margins, including women, children, workers, immigrants and the most vulnerable.

The declaration calls for the economic liberation of all people by ensuring every worker receives a living wage; every child receives access to quality education; every person receives quality healthcare; and ensuring historically marginalized communities have equal protection under the law.

The declaration explicitly rejects the divide-and-conquer strategies of extremists and stands against racism, classism, poverty, xenophobia, and any attempt to promote hate.
