Presented by the Atlanta Film Festival, New Mavericks is a year-round program to support women involved in various aspects of the Atlanta film community in achieving a strong voice in the local industry. Expanded from the festival’s acclaimed female-directed shorts block, New Mavericks meets on the third Wednesday of the month and provides networking opportunities, educational programs, opportunities for professional development, and more.

Our series has been made possible by the unwavering support and generosity of both the Atlanta Film Festival and Synchronicity Theatre; two organizations that understand the strength and unique perspective women bring to both our community here and filmmaking at large.
