Nlc Atlanta Social Justice Symposium says
On June 25th, the NLC Atlanta Chapter and NLC4 will gather with members of the progressive community to take a deep look at the issues of significance to the Atlanta community and to draft recommendations for state or local policy changes or proposed community initiatives.

The symposium will include simultaneously held workshops. When you register, please indicate your preferred workshop. The workshops are as follows:

1) The Intersection of Law and Politics: Criminal Justice Reform in the 21st Century
2) How We Live and Move: Equity, Transportation, and Housing
3) Disrupting the School to Prison Pipeline and Examining Impacts on Students and Teachers
4) Explaining Income Inequality

The theme is “Examining the Role of Race, Class and Culture on the Road to 2020” and we plan to examine issues that impact diverse communities and the changes that should be made during the next presidential term leading up to the year 2020. Our vision is to convene community members to engage in a robust discussion on social justice topics relevant to issues plaguing urban communities.
