Partner Acrobatics is a practice that consists of two or more people, one person as the base, lifting and supporting another as the flyer in different positions and sequences. Regardless of your background, there are partnering moves to be learned for various skill levels.

Come learn about weight sharing, moving in partnership, as well as some tricks that are sure to impress! You do not need to sign up with a partner.


Rose Calucchia has been moving, climbing, tumbling, dancing, and performing for as long as she can remember. As a dance graduate from Sarah Lawrence College, with seven years teaching, training and performing with Brooklyn-based all-femal dance/acrobatic troupe LAVA, she brings a unique approach to movement and teaching. Her specialities are handstands, partner acrobatics and duo trapeze.

Rose relocated to Santa Cruz, California in 2012, where she has since continued her handstand training with Master Lu Yi at the San Francisco Circus Center, as well as double trapeze with Helene Turcotte.

She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, working at some of the premier training facilities in Santa Cruz and in Silicon Valley. Through her extensive experience in personal training, Rose brings a unique approach to circus. She has as an eye for form and detail, as well as experience in injury prevention techniques.
