The human body is remarkable in its structure, form and function. When our knowledge of the body is combined with the wisdom, awareness and experience of yoga great things can happen. This workshop will focus on learning anatomy for the lower body to provide students and teachers with tools to actively create awareness, relieve pain and repair injuries. We will learn the eight major muscle groups of the lower body, from the hips down to the calves and feet. We will incorporate basic anatomy and applied kinesiology and apply this knowledge to asana analysis and awareness. Participants of all levels of knowledge will walk away with a deeper understanding on the body, anatomy, asana and the applications of each.
