Sprayberry High School says
The PSAT will be given at Sprayberry High School on Oct. 14, 2015. The State of Georgia pays for all 10th graders to take this test, but we encourage 9th, 11th and 12th graders to pay to take this test for the following reasons:

The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a great introduction to the new format of the SAT that will be given starting in Spring 2016.

Taking the PSAT allows students extra practice before taking the SAT and helps students make a higher score.

PSAT students become familiar with the kinds of questions and the exact directions on the SAT easing anxiety.

PSAT test results and the test booklet are returned to students in December-January to allow students to identify areas of strengths/weaknesses for future practice.

All 11th graders taking the PSAT will be eligible to compete for scholarships from National Merit Scholarship. 11th graders on free/reduced lunch may apply in the counseling office for a PSAT fee waiver.
