Roundtable Steam Conversation With Jeff Mather And Guests

Join Jeff Mather, the STEAM Artist-in-Residence at Drew Charter School, and special guests Catherine Muller, Raja Schaar and Ann Gerondelis from Georgia Tech, for a conversation about STEAM education. STEAM education means more than simply adding Art to STEM. This round table will be a chance for artists and educators to share experiences working in partnership with STEAM teachers in school settings, starting with projects at the leading STEAM school in Georgia, Drew Charter School in Atlanta. STEAM PBL (Project Based Learning) at Drew Charter School has taken many forms and generated many surprises. The nature of true partnership is that the results are unpredictable. STEAM learning models challenge educational reform concepts that push for templates and predictability. This event is free and open to the public
