THE SUNS OF KORA are a five piece band with an eclectic taste for all genres of music. Ejae Wilde (vocals), Stephen McCarthy (drums), Hutch Fletcher (guitar), Andrew Howell (bass), and Jonny Dylan (guitar) mix their different styles and influences, ranging from rock, country, hip hop, jazz, world music, and even classical, together to bring a unique, soulful, rocking sound. Currently in Atlanta, GA, the band strives to keep the authentic aspect of music alive with great hopes of making a change through their music, actions, and beyond. THE 49 SOUND
It all started in 1914, right after the great flood. Hutch, Tom and Stephan were sitting on top of the house, with water up to the porch windows, and the see this ol' mangy hound drifting on an old rusty hammer. Tom says "Hey Y'all! Look at at that old hound! lets pick him up and take him into our family!" Hutch and Stephan say, in unison "Nahhhhhh" Well, they did end up taking in the dog, and they named him Chris Richardson. Life isn't perfect, but we get through it one beating at a time.
