Science Of Beer, Part I Atlanta Science Festival says
As part of the Atlanta Science Festival, the Science of Beer will highlight the ever expanding and innovating scientific and brewing community in Atlanta sponsored by Georgia Bio. The event will be a brief lecture focusing the microbiology of beer and brewing by Dr. Chris Cornelison of Georgia State University , with accompanied beer pairings crafted by Orpheus Brewing to wash the message down. After the talk and discussion, participants will have the opportunity to take tours, view and participate in demos as well as mingle with fellow beer nerds and novices.

Join us for a Talk, Tasting and Tour to discover the biology of bacterial fermentation and its role in making certain beers sour. Hear from scientists and brewers, taste some of the relevant beers, tour the brewery, and explore interactive demos on the science of beer. Leave with a commemorative Atlanta Science Festival Science of Beer beaker/pint glass.

NOTE: Food will not be served at this event. Please plan ahead and arrange taxi, public transport, or designated driver for your ride home, or consider our transportation partner, Lyft.

Tickets are $18/person and can be purchased here:
