Shop Refuge: A Curated Shopping Experience says
We are always looking for ways to engage the refugee community in Clarkston better and we've discovered that Shop Refuge is one tangible way to do just that. On Saturday, March 18th, we will host our 5th Shop Refuge event where we sell gently used clothing for $2 per item. Our Clarkston and Atlanta neighbors volunteer, donate clothing and shop the day of the sale. In this way, we've created an opportunity to work together to meet a basic need here and overseas. Half of what we make through Shop Refuge will be given to our friends at Preemptive Love Coalition.

A common question we are asked is, "How can I get involved?" and we are excited to share with you a few ways that you can do just that!

-VOLUNTEER the day of Shop Refuge to hang up clothing, help a refugee family pick out specific clothing items or share a smile as you help people check out. Email to sign up for a time slot!

-GIVE gently used clothing to us or help us sort clothing the week before our event. Have connections with a local clothing store or boutique? Ask and see if they will donate clothing too! Want to host a clothing drive at your office, school, church or organization? We'd love to help you! We are accepting donations from now until March 13th at the Refuge Garage during our normal business hours (Monday-Saturday, 7am-6pm).

-MAKE a donation on our website ( so that refugee families who shop with us can receive Refuge Bucks to spend.

-SHARE our information on your social media and help spread the word in your community.

-SHOP with us and help us give back to those in need!
