Stem Competition Info Session For Elementary And Middle Schools says
Do you want to engage your students in a meaningful STEM challenge beyond the typical classroom experience? Excite your students and keep them in the STEM-pipeline through middle school, high school, and beyond?

G3 Robotics, Grady High School's award-winning, student-led robotics team, in partnership with the Motorola Solutions Foundation, is excited to announce G3 Drones for Good (DFG): an exciting STEM competition involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in which middle school students work with their mentors and teachers to develop an innovative UAV-based solution to a problem in their community, state, or the world. These students will develop research, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills while designing, building, and flying their own UAVs. G3 Robotics is excited to offer this opportunity this fall, when they will begin by training middle school teachers to be DFG team coaches. The G3 Drones for Good season will kick-off for students in January and culminate with a competition day in April. Through the generous support of the Motorola Foundation, G3 will be able to offer stipends to some of the teachers who coach DFG teams. The members of G3 Robotics are thrilled for this opportunity to teach and inspire STEM aspirations in their broader community.

For the fourth year, G3 will once again support FIRST Lego League (FLL) and Junior FIRST Lego League (JrFLL) teams across the Atlanta area with training for adults and students and by hosting the 4th Annual G3 Robotics FLL Tournament and JrFLL Exhibition. Training will be offered in October and November with the tournament and exhibition to be held on December 5th. Registration is currently open for both FLL and JrFLL teams. Click the appropriate link for more information about how to register your team.

To learn more about all of these opportunities, please come to an information session Tuesday, September 1, 7 p.m. in the Grady High School cafeteria. Teachers and administrators at K-8 schools are encouraged to attend and learn more about the costs and benefits of both G3 Drones for Good and FIRST Lego League competitions.
