The Matrix Of Ashtanga Yoga October 15, 2016 says
Context is everything. If we don’t frame what it is we’re doing in the right context we will easily get lost in the doing. But really, the practice is about development, development of our selves.

It’s common for us to lose sight of the bigger picture and this is a reminder of the larger pattern and reason for practice. Making sure that we use the asana practice and its elements, as a tool, is key to the development of the self.

Revisiting and re-investigating the aspects of practice is also important. What may have served you when you started may not serve you anymore. The essence of the practice has always been about vinyasa/breath, bandha, and dristhi.

Although these are basic concepts and principles, it’s easy to lose them in the practice. Sometimes a reminder or an inspiration is what’s needed.

This is primarily a lecture based workshop with small amounts of practice to illustrate perhaps a new perspective on an old story.
