Vivid Imagining (The Poetics Of Space) says
opening reception Saturday, March 5, 6-10pm

“When the image is new, the world is new.”

This month at Kibbee Gallery, artists Megan Mosholder (Atlanta, GA) and Cheralynn Johnston (Santa Cruz, CA) present an immersive body of work comprised of installation and painting. Mosholder and Johnston attended graduate school together at the Savannah College of Art and Design. They see this show as an opportunity to bring the East and West Coasts together through the fusion of these two bodies of work. Johnston creates paintings that she considers dimensional pieces that invite the viewer to explore visual deceptions whereas Mosholder builds multi-sensory experiences intended to engulf the visual senses and reawaken the simple intrigue of looking. Together their work creates a vivid experience intended to enliven the imagination.
