Women's Circle says
This month's collective intention at STY is Iccha, one of the Five Faces of Shakti, a sanskrit word meaning "the pause that preceeds action."

We did a lot of waning and "letting go" in the Winter months, and come Spring and Summer we will begin waxing and building once again. For now, we can focus on allowing ourselves to Just Be. To exhale, pause, and focus on all of the the in-between stages of life.

"With all it's gifts and dignities, modernity has created conditions that weaken our bonds with the feminine... To change all this requires a deep turning of the heart, a shift of consciousness that has come from our connection to the source of life... All of reality is Shakti's dance... We are, in our essence, made of Shakti. Her powers of consciousness, ecstacy, will, knowing, and acting are constantly at play both in ourselves and the world." -Sally Kempton, Awakening Shakti

Women's circles can become a global healing force by bringing feminine values of relationship, nurturing, and interdependency into a culture in which hierarchy, conflict and competition, power over others and exploitation of the earth’s resources are dominant.

In circle we share an intention for the highest good of all and create a space where each woman has equal value and is given the opportunity to be seen and heard on a deeper level. There is power in women’s stories— and magic happens when women come together with intentions of honoring their sacred selves.

**You do not need to do yoga or know anyone, this is a "come as you are" studio and event. An optional $5 (or more) donation for circle will go to the ACLU, as they have a lot of work to do and need our help.

Feel free to bring snacks, wine, or a sacred item to place on our center altar. Bring a journal!
