Austin has its own rules when it comes to seasons: festival season, Cedar Fever season and, to the delight of seafood lovers in Texas, crawfish season. Some of Austin's best seafood restaurants—not to mention top-notch breweries—are getting in on the mudbug action with crawfish boil events taking place throughout spring. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a pound of crawfish with some craft beer or want to make a day of it with live music and games, hit up these crawfish boils around Austin for some expertly prepared crustaceans.

Enjoy live Cajun music, mudbugs and beer as the relatively-new Family Business Beer Co. in Drippings Springs cooks up 1,200 pounds of Louisiana crawfish. Plates also include corn, potatoes, sausage and mushroom.

Sawyer & Co. hosts a crawfish boil every Tuesday this spring, when you can load up on pounds of the mudbugs along with beer and $4.99 draft hurricanes.

Looking for a twist on your classic crawfish? Head to Black Star Co-Op, where they'll be offering Mexican-spiced crawfish with Mexican street corn. It's first-come, first-serve, so get here early!

This one's all about a cause: The Peel 'Em for Cancer Crawfish Boil at Bungalow, where 100% of ticket sales and 10% of bar sales will go toward Young Texans Against Cancer—Austin Chapter. Tickets include crawfish and sides, live music, games, raffle prizes and a dog date auction. Drink specials will be on hand as well, including $3 mimosas, $2 Lone Stars and $5 Moscow Mules.

Get ready for 1,000 pounds of crawfish from the Capital Crawfish Company at Gibson Street Bar. In addition to the little critters, diners can enjoy live music, a draft wall takeover, games and more.

Help Perla's celebrate its 9th anniversary with an epic crawfish boil. Tickets are first-come, first-serve at the door and include crawfish, corn, potatoes and beer. They'll also be offering a special Purple Drank inside at the cash bar.
