Hotly announced from the bougie Langsuan area is the news that ANJU Korean Rooftop Bar at Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok, Vignette Collection has stepped into its next era, with both a new menu and an executive sous chef coming straight from South Korea.

Taking on the chef position at the hotel’s neon-lit spot is Chef YoungDae Shim. While born and raised in South Korea, he has been around the world throughout his professional career, including Singapore, Vietnam, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Apart from brand-new dishes, Chef Shim has also come up with lip-smacking concoctions to complement the dining experience. You have Yak-gwa (B370), the first signature that blends Hwayo53 with sous vide boricha-soju, ginger syrup, and chocolate bitters. A Korean traditional cookie is paired with the drink for more fun crispy bites. There’s also the whiskey-based Beon De Ki (B390) that hits you with the refreshing blast of yuzu juice and White Korean (B350) that’s inspired by White Russian. Be on the lookout for the kimchi cocktails and mocktails, which will surely fire up our senses for the night!

As a bonus for big fans of K-Pop, ANJU is not beyond playing tunes by your favorite boy groups and girl bands—it’s definitely the place to be for a fun night out with the gang.
