Brodinski – cultural agitator, former Parisian rave monarch, sometime hip hop conspirator – lands in Bangkok with a sound that’s part warehouse, part trap house. Once the sonic backbone behind France’s techno underground, he’s since woven rap into his DNA, working with names like HOODRICH PABLO and Tokyo’s TOHJI, blurring borders in the process. He’s joined by 1MILL, Thailand’s reigning wordsmith whose sharp delivery and undeniable presence have kept him at the top for years. From Japan comes DJ Chari, a behind-the-scenes architect responsible for some of the country’s most recognisable rap anthems – if you’ve heard it, he’s probably had a hand in it. And then there’s DJ Lingdum, a quiet constant in Bangkok’s scene since the early 2000s, long before algorithms decided what we should dance to.
