Boston’s steakhouse scene is about to get a serious upgrade when Hawksmoor, the London institution widely regarded as one of the best in the world, opens its first Boston outpost this fall. Taking over the ground floor of 15 Necco in Fort Point, the restaurant will seat 200 guests and feature an outdoor terrace overlooking the Fort Point Channel. Translation: your steak and martinis are about to come with a side of scenery.

If you’ve been to the locations in London or New York, you know Hawksmoor boasts impeccably sourced beef, dry-aged in-house and cooked over charcoal, paired with a bar program that takes its cocktails as seriously as its cuts. Over the past 20 years, the group (founded by Will Beckett and Huw Gott) has built a reputation for redefining what a modern steakhouse can be. Now, Boston’s location will build on that reputation,  with a laidback, “come-as-you-are” ethos that swaps stiff service for something warmer and more approachable.

The menu will center on Hawksmoor’s signature cuts alongside indulgent sides and starters. The famed Sunday roast—complete with all the trimmings—will make the jump across the Atlantic as well, giving Boston diners a new weekend ritual. Expect a few local nods on the menu, too, though details remain under wraps for now.

Behind the bar, the restaurant’s award-winning cocktail program will feature signature drinks like Sub-Zero Martinis and Sour Cherry Negronis, which have become something of a calling card. The group’s bar team recently earned recognition from the James Beard Foundation, landing a semifinalist nod in 2025, while the restaurant itself has been named the No. 2 steakhouse by World’s Best Steaks.

The space is designed to strike that same balance between polish and comfort, with dark blue and green paneled walls, plush leather and velvet seating and wood-and-brass tables. It’s a look that invites you to settle in, whether you’re celebrating something big or just chasing a very good ribeye.

Beyond the plate, Hawksmoor’s credentials extend to its workplace culture and environmental commitments. The company is a certified B Corporation and has been recognized as one of the best places to work, while its new home at 15 Necco boasts Platinum LEED certification, an alignment that underscores the group’s long-standing focus on sustainability.

Opening in its 20th anniversary year as the brand’s 15th global location, Hawksmoor Boston arrives with serious expectations—and every indication it’s ready to meet them.
