Do you think it's the therapy dogs that pushed Logan over the top?

According to a report from flight-deal platform Going, Boston Logan International Airport is the best U.S. airport for international flight deals, beating both New York’s JFK and Newark Liberty International Airport. The ranking analyzed more than 45,000 routes and a full year of flight-deal data, covering July 2025 through June 2026, ultimately putting Logan at No. 1, followed by JFK at No. 2 and Newark at No. 3. Chicago's O'Hare and LAX rounded out the top five.

The reason Boston is so good for international bargains? Logan is extremely well connected to the rest of the world, like that kid who went abroad senior year and came back smoking Gitanes. London, Paris, Dublin, Amsterdam and Reykjavík are among Logan's busiest international destinations, not to mention its substantial service to the Caribbean and Latin America.

Boston’s location helps, too. It’s one of the closest major U.S. gateways to Europe, which makes transatlantic flights relatively efficient and gives airlines plenty of incentive to compete for Boston travelers. JetBlue’s presence is another important piece of the puzzle, particularly on routes to Europe and the Caribbean.

And while New Yorkers may be accustomed to thinking of JFK as the obvious place to start an international adventure, Boston’s win suggests it’s worth checking Logan before booking. A cheap fare to Paris from Boston could be worth a train trip. What's the cost of an Amtrak ticket versus the price of an Uber to JFK for New Yorkers, after all?

The ranking is also a reminder that the cheapest airport isn't necessarily the one closest to your house. Of course, for Bostonians, it actually is. Lucky us.

The 10 cheapest U.S. airports to fly out of internationally, per Going:

1. Boston (BOS)
2. New York City (JFK)
3. Newark (EWR)
4. Chicago O'Hare (ORD)
5. Los Angeles (LAX)
6. Raleigh–Durham (RDU)
7. Orlando (MCO)
8. Miami (MIA)
9. Washington, DC (IAD)
10. Austin (AUS)
