Thought that Bostonians loved beer over just about any other kind of liquor? Think again. According to Time Out's City Life Index—an in-depth survey involving 15,000 participants across 32 cities—31 percent of you prefer to drink cocktails over wine and beers. You might want to add every single one of the 25 best cocktail bars in town to your must-visit list, then.

The survey also asked participants to chime in on matters involving culture, happiness, dating, nightlife, affordability and more.

When it comes to sex and dating, respondents seem disenchanted with the romantic prospects that Boston has to offer. Specifically, only two percent of you think that finding love in town is easy, versus 27 percent of participants indicating that finding sexual partners is easy. Sadly, only 8 percent of those queried find making friends here not too hard.

When it comes to dining out, a hefty 40 percent of you admit to having waited for a table for up to an hour (only 8 percent let us know that they'd never even think of ever waiting for one). As for the one kind of dish you'd be okay eating for the rest of your life, 15 percent of you opted for sushi.

The very good news is that 78 percent of respondents agreed that living in Boston is actually oh-so-enjoyable. So cheers to this great city of ours!
