To many locals, it doesn't get more fall than apple cider donuts. Now you can basically drink one, as Boston's own Downeast Cider House has released their new Cider Donut variety, and Time Out Market Boston is the only place in town you can get it on draft outside their own taproom.
This limited-edition flavor, described by the company as “fresh-pressed apple cider with vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar,” carries a 5.2% abv.
And would you believe the Market is the only place on earth serving Framingham's own Springdale's Malted Milk Ball porter on draft? The beer (5.5%) is a collab with the Market's very own Union Square Donuts.
As if that's not enough, you can also be one of the first to try the other part of the Springdale-Union Square collab. Check out this malted milk ball donut:
Remember, if you come by the Market on a Saturday or Sunday, you can take advantage of Boston's coolest Bloody Mary Bar. Top your bacon-infused bloody with donut holes from Union Square Donuts, then chase it with a giant 22oz pint of Cider Donut.
If you're not familiar with Downeast, which was founded in 2011 by recent graduates of Bates College up in Lewiston, Maine, then be sure to stop by their East Boston cider house for a tasting or tour. If you haven't been out to Framingham to visit Springdale, what are you waiting for? At least go by and pick up some award-winning, barrel-aged beauties.
