Where to celebrate National Prosecco Day in Boston

Pop some bubbly in honor of National Prosecco Day on Saturday August 13 in Boston! Known for its sweet taste and light aroma, we are all familiar with this tasty drink, but did you know that it is named after the Italian village of Prosecco, which was itself named after the Prosecco grape?

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite Prosecco based cocktails around Boston to make it easy for you and your friends to enjoy a glass of bubbly. Not a Prosecco fan? Eataly – Back Bay

From August 5th to the 21st Eataly Boston to hosting Cocktail Fest to celebrate classic Italian drinks and they have included several amazing Prosecco based cocktails on the menu. You can try a Sbagliato Bianco, a fun take on a Negroni made with Luxardo Bitter Bianco, Bordiga Vermouth di Torino Bianco, and of course Prosecco.

Or you can go classic Italian and enjoy a spritz! There are two spritz options on the cocktail fest menu. First the Citrus Spritz made with Pallini Limoncello, San Pellegrino Aranciata, and Prosecco. And last but certainly not least the Bergamotto Spritz made with Ialicus, Branca Stravecchia Brandy, Prosecco.

Coppa – South End

This cozy little Italian restaurant in the south end has amazing food and an excellent cocktail menu. Schitt’s Creek fans should try the A Little Bit Alexis made with cocchi rosa, lavender, Prosecco. And you can go never go wrong with an Aperol Spritz, which has just three simple ingredients: Aperol, Prosecco and soda.

Alibi – Beacon Hill

Head over to The Liberty Hotel and grab a drink at Alibi. For a fun, unique prosecco cocktail order the Violette You’re Turning Violette, made with New Amsterdam gin, creme de Violet, lemon, simply syrup, and topped with Prosecco.  They also have classic spritz options on the menu like the Backyard Spritz, made with Campari, St. Germain, lemon, topped with Prosecco.

The Envoy Hotel’s Lookout Rooftop is the OG Seaport rooftop. To celebrate National Prosecco Day, order a Gin Fizzle made with Gunpowder Gin, violet, lavender, and Prosecco. Or stick to a classic and order an Aperol Spritz.

Aqua Pazza – North End

Prosecco is an Italian wine after all so how could we not include a north end favorite for National Prosecco Day in Boston? Aqua Pazza has three Prosecco based cocktails for you to choose from, a classic Aperol Spritz, a wonderfully sweet Bellini made with Combier Peach, Prosecco and OJ and lastly a fun play on the Negroni. The Negroni della Casa is made with Barr Hill Gin, Campar, Antica Carpana and of course Prosecco!
