The countdown is on, folks! From 3 to 5 October, one of the Cape’s hottest music festivals, Rocking the Daisies, will be back at Cloof Wine Estate to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

To help you make the most of the festival, we’ve put together a handy guide with everything you need to know – from the lineup to the camping facilities and dress code.

And if you want to stay up to date with all the summer festivals happening in and around the Cape, we’ve got you covered.

How much are the tickets?

At the time of publishing, the following tickets were still available via Quicket:

  • Festival Passes (Friday to Sunday): R1,899
  • General Camping Passes (Friday to Sunday): R599
  • Priority Camping (Friday to Sunday): R999
  • Wildflower Camping (Friday to Sunday): R1,149
  • 3-Star Dome Glamping Tent (sleeps two, Friday to Sunday): R4,324.50 per person
  • 2-Star Dome Glamping Tent (sleeps two, Friday to Sunday): R2,874.20 per person
  • 1-Star Dome Glamping Tent (sleeps two, Friday to Sunday): R2,024 per person

Note: Add an extra R10 booking fee.

Who is performing?

International stars such as Summer Walker, Jessie Reyez, Mereba, and Sam Tompkins will take to the stage alongside top local artists.

Other performers include:

  • Kabza De Small
  • Elaine
  • DJ Zinhle
  • Focalistic
  • Lee Cole
  • Bravo Le Roux
  • Kyeezi
  • Capri-Sons
  • Saxby Twins
  • Amy Mauritz and more

What documentation must I bring with?

The festival has a strict 'no ID or passport, no entry' rule, so be sure to bring a valid form of identification along with a digital copy of your festival ticket.

What time do the festival gates open?

  • Friday and Saturday: 8am to 9pm
  • Sunday: 7am to 11am

Will there be on-site bathroom facilities?

Yes. Toilets will be available throughout the festival grounds. Showers are limited to the camping areas only.

Leave these items at home:

  • Alcohol and any liquids, including water
  • Gazebos
  • Cooler boxes and eating utensils
  • Hookahs (hubbly bubblies)
  • Plastic cups or straws
  • Glass items
  • Drones

Is there a dress code?

While there is no official dress code, we strongly suggest packing closed shoes. Sand, crowds, and dancing don’t mix well with open-toed footwear, and no one wants sore feet while enjoying the music.

Good to know:

Emergency services including medics, police, fire marshals, and lifeguards will be present throughout the weekend.

Now it's time to have the best time ever! Enjoy!
