The ever-more-famous Street Smash Burger has landed in Cascais. The brand already had a shop in the municipality – it opened in January in Carcavelos – but since August 19 it has a spot right in the town centre, along the famous Rua Amarela, a move the team had already confirmed to Time Out when opening their first restaurant on the Lisbon Coast.
"From the start, many customers asked us to open a space in Cascais. They were loyal patrons who would travel to Lisbon just to go to Street, and that made us feel that sooner or later we had to be here", says Beatriz Santillana, founder of Street Smash Burger, about the new spot, which offers 40 seats across the interior and terrace.
"Every opening taught us something, and all that knowledge was applied here", she adds. "We wanted it to fit the energy and lifestyle of the city while keeping the same promise: uncompromising quality".
As has become tradition with every new opening, the brand gave 100 burgers to the first 100 customers in Cascais. “We love doing it because those first people are usually the most loyal: long-time followers or neighbours who would pop by every day to ask about the renovations. It’s our way of saying thank you and starting the Street story in Cascais with them”.
The menu is exactly the same as the other seven locations – five around Lisbon and two in Porto. The Street Burger (€9.90) comes with 180g of beef (no preservatives or artificial ingredients), American cheese, onion, pickles, ketchup and mustard. You can add extra meat (+€3.50), cheese (+€1.50) or a gluten-free bun (+€2.50), and the house sauces – Mayo Sriracha and BBQ Smokey – are available for an extra €1.
There’s also a veggie burger (€12.90), and from time to time the brand offers special limited editions. Pair your burger with regular fries (€3), sweet potato fries (€3) or truffle and Parmesan fries (€6.50).
For €13.90, the Street Combo includes a Street Burger, fries and a drink.
