The festival dedicated to Portuguese-language music confirms its fourth edition at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo. Early Bird tickets go on sale in November.

Coala Festival Portugal already has official dates for 2027. The event's fourth edition takes place on May 29 and 30, once again transforming the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo in Cascais into the major meeting point for artists and audiences from across the Portuguese-speaking world.
Born in São Paulo in 2014, the festival crossed the Atlantic in 2024 and quickly established itself on Cascais' cultural calendar. In its latest edition, held in 2026, the event broke records, drawing over 28,000 people to see a heavyweight lineup featuring names such as Lulu Santos, Slow J, Bonga, Marina Sena, João Gomes, and Ana Frango Elétrico. The major highlight ended up being the legendary Caetano Veloso, announced just a few months ahead of the festival following the cancellation of the performance by his sister, Maria Bethânia, who had to pull out of the lineup due to scheduling conflicts.
For Nuno Piteira Lopes, Mayor of Cascais, the continuation of the partnership "confirms the importance of the festival in establishing Cascais as a region open to the world, where culture generates economic, tourist, and social value."
The curation for 2027 will remain under Gabriel Andrade, one of the project's founders, alongside Angolan musician and writer Kalaf Epalanga. Although the first names on the bill will only be unveiled in the coming months, audiences can already secure early ticket access. Until October 29, pre-registration for the Coala List is available on the official website. The Early Bird sale, featuring special terms and prices, will be open exclusively to registrants and will run from November 3 to 9 (or until the batch sells out).
