Coala Festival gives you music, but it could also give you a trip to Brazil

Coala Festival Portugal’s mission is to spread Brazilian culture through music, but it can now help people experience it first-hand. The organisers have launched a new initiative: between 9 and 21 December, everyone who purchases tickets during the Early Bird phase is automatically entered into the “Golden Ticket” draw, which offers the chance to travel to Coala Brasil 2026 in São Paulo with a guest.

The prize includes two flights from Lisbon to São Paulo, transfers between the hotel and the festival venue, four nights’ accommodation in a four-star hotel, passes for all days of the event with backstage access, and two consumption cards worth 100 reais per day (approximately €16). The winner will be selected via the platform sorteio.com, based on the official list of ticket purchasers, and announced on Instagram on 22 December. The Brazilian edition of the festival for 2026 has not yet announced dates, but this year it took place in September.

Since its first edition, Coala Festival has brought Brazilian music names to Portugal, such as Gilberto Gil, Jorge Ben, Ney Matogrosso, Liniker, Timbalada + Afrocidade and Xande de Pilares, as well as Portuguese artists including Carminho, Rita Vian, António Zambujo and Ana Lua Caiano, and African artists such as Djodje, Pongo and Mayra Andrade. The artistic curation is managed by Gabriel Andrade, one of the festival’s co-founders, in collaboration with Angolan musician and writer Kalaf Epalanga.

Early Bird tickets are available in two types: General Pass, €70, and VIP Pass, €140, in a limited batch and before the official announcement of the line-up.
