The menu for the next edition of Chefs on Fire was almost complete. We already knew which chefs would be gathering around the fire on September 20 and 21 at Parque Marechal Carmona in Cascais – and even what they’d be cooking. What was missing was confirmation of who’d be in charge of the festival’s soundtrack – because this foodie festival is also a music festival. The announcement came on Wednesday September 3, with both a familiar face and something new: Dino D’Santiago returns to Chefs on Fire to debut Mesa dos Artistas, a brand-new format that brings together the musician and a few friends for a jam session of music and words.
On Saturday September 20, the programme kicks off at 3pm with DJ Quim Albergaria, followed by Mesa dos Artistas at 7pm. From 9.30pm, DJ Armanda takes over the decks.
On Sunday September 21, Milhanas sets the musical tone at 3pm, followed by Tiago Nacarato & Orquestra Bamba Social at 5pm, Rita Rocha at 7pm, and Tiago Bettencourt closing the night at 9pm.
