Scoop 'n Dough is among Europe's Best Vegan Ice Cream spots

Scoop 'n Dough, which specializes in handcrafted vegan ice cream and donuts, has been highlighted by HappyCow as one of the best vegan ice cream spots in Europe. The selection, announced on social media, was made based on community ratings, review volume, and an exclusive dedication to plant-based concepts.

“Europe has an incredible vegan ice cream scene, and most people have no idea. These eight shops are proof of that,” reads HappyCow's post. Created by Eric Brent in 2011, the platform is dedicated to promoting vegan, vegetarian, and healthy food brands and establishments across Europe. Access is free for users, who can also contribute content.

In addition to Cascais’s Scoop 'n Dough, HappyCow recognized Veganista Ice Cream (Vienna), AMMA Gelato (Barcelona), Gelato Giusto (Milan), IceLab NiceCream Creations (Antwerp), Green Scoop Vegan (Berlin), Eisbrunnen Vegan Ice Cream (Munich), and Enila Plant Based Ice Cream (Basel).

This is not the first time Scoop 'n Dough has been recognized. In 2020, HappyCow awarded it first place in its selection of the best vegan donut spots in the world. In 2022, the platform distinguished the Portuguese brand once again with top spot in its list of “The World’s 10 Best Vegan Ice Cream Shops.”
