Cascais has unveiled its agenda for this year. From surf to tennis, from summer festivals to major international conferences, there are both new events and long-awaited returns.

There is plenty to do in Cascais in 2026, from attending concerts by Caetano Veloso and Jamiroquai, to taking part in a marathon or watching a rally. The Cascais Press Preview 2026 took place this Thursday, 26 February, at the Marina of Cascais, in a session attended by the Mayor, Nuno Piteira Lopes, organised in partnership with Turismo de Cascais. The main events and strategies aimed at energising the municipality throughout the year were revealed.
These are the events that will shape the calendar and the key highlights to keep an eye on.
Capítulo Perfeito
11 January to 11 March, Praia de Carcavelos
The surf competition, waiting for perfect conditions to kick off, once again puts Cascais at the centre of the international surfing map. It keeps its selective format, which distinguishes the contest, and traditionally opens the sports calendar of the year in the municipality. This year, it will also take place in Mozambique, from 11 January to 30 March.
Woman Summit
6 to 8 March, Parque Marechal Carmona
A meeting dedicated to female leadership and entrepreneurship, featuring debates, networking, and national and international guests.
National Democracy Day
17 March, Estoril Congress Centre
The day will be marked by civic participation initiatives and reflections on democracy and citizenship, integrated into the municipal strategy in this area.
Stylista Market

The market organised by Maria Guedes at FIARTIL continues with its four seasonal editions. The Spring edition opens the annual cycle, bringing together national fashion, lifestyle, and home décor brands. Speaking to Time Out, the influencer revealed that 2025 was the best year ever and promised many news.
Portuguese Gastronomy Days
26–27 March, Cascais Cultural Centre and Cascais Food Lab
After its debut last year, two days dedicated to reflecting on and celebrating Portuguese cuisine return, bringing together professionals, academics, and the interested public. This year, the theme is Saloia Cuisine.
IberCup Cascais
31 March to 5 April, various locations
The international youth football tournament returns to the municipality. The major 2026 novelty is the IberCup Convention, which during this week will bring together football managers and coaches at the Estoril Congress Centre, creating a space for networking and the presentation of new academies.
World Physical Activity Day
12 April, Cascais, Oeiras, and Lisbon
A joint initiative promoting sport and healthy lifestyles, with activities spread across the three municipalities. The seafront will be closed to traffic for public enjoyment.

31st King Juan Carlos Trophy
17–19 April, Cascais Naval Club

A historic motorsport event that will once again take to the roads of the region, attracting teams and fans of the sport.

An international opera singing competition promoting new talent, with public performances and open events.

With the Santo António festivities, Municipality Week brings institutional celebrations with cultural and community activities across the municipality.

Festival Espanto – International Philosophy Festival

Following its successful debut in 2025, the festival returns this year focusing on the theme of “Desire”, bringing together philosophers, academics, and the public in debates and lectures.

FIARTIL – Handicrafts Fair
July and August, Estoril
There’s no summer without a handicrafts fair. In July and August it returns once again, serving as a meeting point for artisans, producers and visitors.
Cascais Atlantic Sunsets
1–22 August
This sunset DJ sets programme promises two events at Forte de Santo António da Barra and an extension in October, at a venue yet to be revealed – one of the new features of this format.
Festas do Mar
20–23 and 27–30 August, Cascais Bay
One of the municipality’s largest popular events, featuring free concerts at the Bay. The first confirmed artist is local singer Carlota Ulrich.
Cascais Sailing
28–30 August
An event organised by the Cascais Naval Club, bringing together different classes of boats.

One of the most anticipated local parties: the summer farewell promoted by the Cascais Naval Club.
