This is one of the jewels-in-the-raw of the city. It won't be long before this explodes as the next "It" area, trust me. There are lots of awesome artists and creatives who call this neighborhood home, and show their work in the numerous galleries and alternative art spaces around here. Situated right between Chinatown to the east, and Mexican/Hispster-flavored 18th Street to the west, there's plenty of influences from both whole retaining it's own, special flair. I'm very proud to call the Chicago Arts District home.
Second Fridays are wonderful! Great chance to see interesting art and meet all sorts of people. So glad they are preserving the arts scene!
