Time Out says

Inspired by the pop art of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Icelandic artist Erró became fascinated with the imagery found in comic books. "Erró: American Comics" presents eleven of his large-scale paintings, created between 1979 and 2009, which feature collages of images found in comics, magazines and newspapers. The touring exhibit explores the artist's mission to bridge the gap between disparate forms of culture and art.
