“The Art of Banksy”
Time Out says
Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.
It's been more than a decade since a genuine Banksy work was spotted in Chicago, but you can see 80 of the street artist's creation in this exhibition. "The Art of Banksy" is an unauthorized show collecting canvasses, screen prints, sculptures and other pieces that the enigmatic artist made between 1997 and 2008, including the now-famous images "Flower Thrower" and "Girl with Balloon."
Presented by the same folks behind the "Immersive Van Gogh" experience, "The Art of Banksy" takes over a yet-to-be-revealed location in the West Loop, offering hour-long visits that allow you to explore an array of Banksy's work. Drawn from private collections, the works on displauy demonstrate the impact that Bansky's graffiti-informed style has had on a new generation of artists.
Tickets for "The Art of Banksy" go on sale at 9am on Thursday, May 6. Masks are required when visiting the exhibition.
