I've been coming here for nearly 20 years. It has such a special place in my heart at so many different junctions of life. It is so wonderful, I considered this place very seriously for my wedding venue. It's been my oasis so many time, but sadly the popularity has really caught on. I finally took my two toddlers for the first time because I really want to make this our family's tradition, but sadly, it seems others have heard about it because the crowds on my most recent visit really took a little away from the experience. I guess that's a bit of a testament to it's awesomeness!

Starved Rock is worth the drive. It's a great day trip to take a hike and explore a gorgeous forest.

The waterfalls there are majestic, and they feel like nothing else in Illinois.
