Alulu joins the ranks of Pilsen’s growing brewpub scene with a long list of beers that you’ll want to drink all summer long. There are also cocktails and a food menu at the bar (pour Alulu’s killer house-made vinegar sauce on eats like frites and chicken wings), but what this brewery does best is its Belgian beers and IPAs. Skip the ambers and blonds in favor of anything described as hoppy or full of esters. With green moss running along the back of the bar and a heavily sunlit room, this place offers a welcoming setting in which to enjoy a beer.

Vitals:

Atmosphere: Typical (wooden tables and a moss wall) meets atypical (space-themed murals).

What to eat: Cheese and charcuterie plates are a good place to start, but our favorite bite was the pierogis.

What to drink: The beer list is long and a tad confusing, so we’ll make it simple for you: If it says “pale ale” or “IPA,” get it.

Where to sit: Our favorite seats are in the sunny front window.

The craft beer trend of Pilsen is finally making its way west! Alulu is the perfect blend of craft brewing and a chef-driven restaurant. This two floor restaurant fits in perfectly with the surrounding area, and after a few weeks it is already bursting at the seams. This is one of the few places I decided to do a beer flight at because each one was so different from the next. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave me some great recommendations. The food has some Eastern European influence but the Chef still makes sure there is some global flare to the dishes and the menu is always changing. This is the perfect date night spot or to start a night with a group of close friends. This place will be a hit!
