Pete Wentz's Angels and Kings was a hipster’s dream when it opened in early 2008: The patrons were attractive and tatted up, and they were getting their mug shots taken while swilling PBRs and absinthe on tap. Now, in its new incarnation within the Hard Rock Hotel, AK has lost its bad-boy rock & roll soul. The gong and mug-shot photo booth from the old bar are joined by guitar-themed bites and cocktails, but book-ended by two TVs airing b-ball, it just feels like drinking in a hotel lobby.
