This inconspicuous bar is equal parts after-work dive and Antiques Roadshow. Amid dusty knickknacks and bric-a-brac, the family who runs the place will pour you a stiff drink and then try to sell you a Civil War–era revolver, a set of buffalo-themed shot glasses or anything else lying around—anything except for the patriarch’s wall-mounted marlin and the Hamm’s sign hanging out front.

I realize dives are supposed to be dirty, but this was a little much for me. The stench was pretty unbearable and the place is way too cluttered and musty. I came here because dogs are welcome and the people are supposed to be friendly and welcoming. This was not the case - we were stared at with disgust by the blend of hipsters and regulars who were inside. Bartender wasn't the friendliest, either. Cheap drinks and cheese balls, but I won't return. Bonus star for dog friendly, but that's the only reason to come. Drink at home with your dog.
