Nothing brings together the hip kids and blue-collar Chicagoans better than cheap alcohol, and this no-frills Logan Square dive across from the Fireside Bowl is living proof. Watch as the earnest mustaches of Blackhawks and Sox fans mingle amiably with ironically bearded Black Keys and White Stripes fans. And if that gets dull, just head to the back for a 75-cent game of pool.

The Bob Inn is a fun dive bar for when you want to get away from the usual hipster crowds and just kick back with a beer. You never know who you may run into here, but hey, you can play pool or pinball.
I hate even review this place because it's one of my secrets. It's dark. The bartenders are surly, the drinks are cheap, the jukebox is stocked with bar anthems and you can usually find a seat any time of the day. You don't come here for fancy cocktails, you come here to drink. It's air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. So many bars in Chicago try to be something. It's refreshing to step into an atmosphere where a no-frills attitude reigns.
