When the team behind the Boiler Room—the pizza bar just across from the California Blue Line stop—was looking for a place to blow off steam after work, they turned to a dark, dingy, dirty 4am dive called Boni’s. They liked the place so much, they bought it, spruced up the beer list, added a cocktail of the day ($5, and on the sweet side) and gave everyone an excuse that probably no one needed to stay out a few hours after the Whistler closes.
